Details
Our grapes are harvested by hand in the first days of September, from the vines grown in the D.O.C. area. Manduria with the Guyot system. The density is 4500 plants per hectare, with a production of about 1800 g per plant.
Aging in medium toasted French oak barriques for a period of about ten months, after which it rests in the bottle for another 4 months.
The decidedly intense ruby red color introduces the thick complexity of this wine which explodes in intense and articulated aromas ranging from blackberry to spices up to mineral hints of great elegance. The mouth is splendid, with an imposing structure, capable of combining warmth and dynamism in an endless finish of fruit and chocolate.
It should be served at 16-18° C. Great roasts, braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
