Pepenero Primitive I.G.P. Salento

Our grapes are harvested by hand in the first days of September from vines grown with the Guyot system in Salento. The density is 4,500 plants per hectare, with a production of about 2,500 g per plant.

Aged in medium toasted American oak barriques for a period of about 4 months

Intense and brilliant ruby ​​colour. The bouquet offers aromas of small red and black fruits where cherry and blueberry are dominant notes with oak spice, candle smoke, cedar supporting the fruit tones. Fresh and harmonious, it is a velvety wine with soft tannins and a long finish.

This wine goes well with meat dishes and pasta with dark sauce. It should be served at 16-18° C
